Blending Apologetics and Evangelism
Here is a handy Pre-Evangelism, Evangelism and Apologetics chart. I developed this chart in coordination with a class I teach at Foothills Bible Church called, "Apologetics 101."
Starting from the top left and moving to the bottom right here is how you can use the chart to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world.
General Revelation is God revealing himself in nature and science. Just look at the world and it points to a designer, creator and infinite being outside of space and time. There are philosophical and logical arguments that point toward a personal designer. For some of them, go here. Special Revelation is God revealing himself directly to humanity through the written Revelation (i.e. Bible) of God and Jesus Christ. The biggest questions of life revolve around these areas:- Does God exist? Human Reason, Human Experience, and Physical Realities in our World all point to God.
- What is the Basis of Morality? The Bible's reliability, Jesus Christ being the Son of God and rising from the dead point to the One True God of the Bible being the Basis of Morality. Moral Relativity is not an option.
- Who Am I? A creation by God! He made you and designed you to worship Him!
- What is My Purpose? To Love God and Love Others.
- What Happens When I Die? A very real heaven and hell await everyone. If we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior during this lifetime, we will spend a forever in an eternal heaven with God.
These are good questions to ask folks who do not know Jesus yet.
